Service Description
$325 · Ages 7–14 · M/W/F 9am–12pm · M/W/F 9am–12pm · 6 kids max · All materials included · Polymer clay take-home on Friday · Ceramic pieces kiln-fired and ready for pickup 2–3 weeks after camp ends This week is all about making pottery that belongs in real life. Kids will create functional ceramic pieces they can actually use at home—bowls, plates, mugs, and other table-ready forms. Monday begins with a slab-built bowl or plate, focusing on shape, proportion, rims, and the balance between useful and beautiful. If they finish early, they can begin a second form. Wednesday, once the pieces are leather-hard, kids carve in surface designs, patterns, names, or textures, then refine edges and details so everything feels good in the hand. After that, they’ll build a mug and learn how to shape a handle that looks right and feels even better. Friday is for underglaze painting: interior colors, exterior patterns, playful designs, and finishing touches that make each piece feel personal. Then they’ll make a tiny polymer clay magnet inspired by what they built all week—a miniature mug, bowl, or plate to take home that afternoon. Camp runs with a minimum of 3 enrolled students. Families will be notified in advance if minimum enrollment is not met.
