Service Description

$325 · Ages 7–14 · M/W/F 9am–12pm · 6 kids max · All materials included · Polymer clay take-home on Friday · Ceramic pieces kiln-fired and ready for pickup 2–3 weeks after camp ends The last week of summer is about building a world that belongs together. Kids will create a connected set of ceramic pieces: a tiny house, a small functional object for inside it, and a creature or person who lives there. Monday begins with the house—slab walls, rooflines, windows, doors, and all the architectural thinking required to make flat clay stand up and stay standing. This is one of the most satisfying handbuilding weeks of the summer. Wednesday, kids carve in details like bricks, shutters, chimneys, roof texture, or garden elements, then build the smaller pieces that complete the story: a bowl, cup, or dish that fits the scale, plus the little resident who belongs there. Friday is for underglaze painting, when the whole set comes together. The house, the object, the creature, all speaking the same visual language. Then they’ll make a polymer clay version of their creature to take home that afternoon—the tiny resident, small enough to live in a pocket. Camp runs with a minimum of 3 enrolled students. Families will be notified in advance if minimum enrollment is not met.
