White (Mid-Fire Stoneware)

White is a smooth, reliable mid-fire white stoneware with a touch of fine grog for added strength and stability. It throws easily, trims cleanly, and performs beautifully for both functional and handbuilt work.

Fired in our electric oxidation kilns at Cone 6, it produces a clean, neutral white surface that highlights glaze color and detail exceptionally well.

Average Shrinkage: ~13.35%

Absorption Rate: ~0.91%

Texture: Smooth with light fine grog

With approximately 13% shrinkage, pieces will reduce noticeably from wet to final firing. Plan accordingly for fitted forms.

At under 1% absorption, this clay vitrifies tightly at Cone 6, producing strong, durable functional ware when properly glazed and fired.
